Dario Ferrari founded Intercos in 1972 as the first company to develop, manufacture and market cosmetics for other brands. Today it is the world leader in outsourced colour cosmetics, with a market share of more than 11%, and the leading Western company in outsourced skincare by sales.
Its customers are multinationals, emerging brands and retailers, including almost all the main players in colour cosmetics, skincare, hair and personal care, and fragrance.
Intercos develops and makes products in four categories. Technological innovation and formula advancement drive every one of them.
From formula engineering and textural innovation to new finishes and new ways to apply them.
New textures carried by high-performance ingredients, with Swiss research at CRB and active-ingredient work at Vitalab.
Body, hair and personal care, a category the Group has made since Cosmint joined in 2017.
The Fragrance Hall, opened in 2022: 3,000 m² for olfactory development, with technical and customisation teams under one roof.

A creative team designs the component alongside the formula: compacts, kits, palettes, cushions, lipsticks, sticks, pencils and dispensing pens; pots, jars, tubes, bottles, droppers and pumps.
Functionality, materials and sustainable design are part of the brief from the start.

Fifteen plants make the finished product, held to the same standards of technology, safety, quality and timeliness wherever it is made.
7 plants in Europe, 2 in North America, 1 in South America and 5 in Asia, with 220,000 m² of floor space.
